Totally gel with having fewer clothes that you love and wearing them to death.

So agree on the T-shirts (I’m currently wearing the pink one too!) - they are the perfect cut, I went ahead and ordered more colours last night as they’re currently $10. I am so here for simplifying the season. I had planned out kids crafts and activities and I quickly scrapped the idea because it was too much pressure! And simple meals! We are very high 30’s this weekend and into the start of the week here in Canberra so anything I can do to avoid turning the oven on 🙂

Too hot to even swim?!! I don’t know how you do it!

Your pic is so cheerful how would anyone notice the cheap? (You’re a great mum) I think you look great x

Yes to keeping it all as simple as poss. About to write the Xmas shopping list before clicking and collecting (wanting to avoid the shops as much as I can from next week on!). Doing easy meals too…while trying to get enough protein (and calcium) into everyone to keep energy levels up and meltdowns down xx

The last few days have been over 40 & despite the lure of a pool, all I want is to be under the AC!

Thank you. I felt good until I looked at the photo, so the lesson is, don't look at photos, lol

Focusing on energy levels up & meltdowns down is a great summer motto! x

You look lovely! And a bargain for $10 too - winning! :)

All the default things you talked about - I found myself nodding along while reading.

I just cannot this year. Except for catching up with people and doing Christmas-y type activities (with or without the kids - I cannot wait for everyone to be available!).

I have even already decided that next Christmas (yep, already thinking about this before we get through the current season!) is going to be even simpler. I purchased a pop up tree from Bunnings last weekend and I freaking love it. It takes up so little space when flat, and it pre-lit. Yes, it's a green, tinselling looking cone, but I love it more than I thought I would :D

Happy Summer Default

I don't know a single person who is not limping toward the end of term or work, what a year!

Pop up tree for the win!!! I am all for whatever makes life easier & if it makes you smile as well it's a double win!

I actually love your outfit and would absolutely wear it. The cut of that t-shirt looks perfect. Your whole summer default sounds very sensible and probably exactly what I would do, too x

Oh Reannon, you are truly an influencer, do you find the cotton on t's to be true to size.

also my motto for summer is care, taking care of my needs, not my wants, right now my needs are for nourishment, rest, creativity, nature and ease, that means minimal decisions specially around meals. I'm also bringing back my routines that were working so well, but then for some reason got sidelined leaving me floundering and having to make the same decisions every damn day. honestly i think i'm just tired of trying to be prepared, of judging myself, of trying to second guess others and please them, i'm done.

I think it is true to size. I wear an XL & I am usually that size in most tops.

I think you would really like the lazy genius's 'decide once' motto, it takes all that decision fatigue away. She has a few books & a podcast.

And honestly, I think we all just ebb & flow through times of routine & structure. Floundering is normal so long as you find your way back to what works xx
