Tim tells me look good in black too but I usually feel dead if I wear black near my face. Maybe with my hair a little lighter I don't hate it as much.
That first Autumn rain is the best. It feels like Summer has finally broken, even though we are still having days in the low to mid-30s, and the days feel shorter. I am here for it!
Hey R, what a lovely read and well done you for writing it (sorry you got crappy news xx).
I just spent precious time with my youngest niece and it was everything you described. So heartwarming.
We’ve also got a frozen banana stash. And I can’t use them for an upcoming charity bake because they’ve requested savoury! Not my forte! Any easy ideas?!
Noticing the little goodies and doing a little (or big!) reorganising must feel great for your soul. And let's face it, receiving much needed rain is always a mood-lifter ❤️
I feel like life is made up of the little things so being able to notice them, even when life is tricky, makes all the difference. And yes, the first rain after Summer IS a mood lifter. It feels so cleansing!!!
I have a running note in my notes app about magic and everyday I add one thing that was a magic moment, a tiny thing that brought me joy! Tweens are sooooo hard but something is always good everyday.
you look great in all black, so yeah as the magic mirror says, shut up you look great
when things are tough if you can find and notice the little things you are doing well
I follow Spark in the Dark here on substack, she is very much about the little glimmers.
we had a huge thunderstorm yesterday and rain it was soooooo good.

I feel like tweens have upped the ante lately but it can be fun watching them find their way in the world.
And how lovely to have a little list like that to look back at.
