Love this, thanks for sharing. I just bought a 'Visible Mending' course on Domestika, excited to get stuck into that.

I like games but unfortunately my husband would rather die than partake in organised fun ;)

If anyone is looking for a book, I just finished this and loved it, Ordinary Love.

A visible mending course sounds fun! I always love it when I see people doing that, their clothes look gorgeous!

I can’t get my head around it, but who knows, maybe one day, when I don’t have people to look after, I might actually have the headspace to learn

I’ve wanted to try knitting socks but it looks very complicated. Are they hard? I’m only a basic knitter 😂

It’s not too hard there is an easy pattern vanilla socks dpn by crazy sock lady. She has a video and you can down load pattern. I didn’t do it for ages cause I thought too hard but it really isn’t!

I’m always battling my phone too.

My hobby time has decreased since we got a puppy last year. It’s not that she takes so much time, but she does interfere with things like embroidery and crochet.

This post has inspired me though to get back into something! I’ve got a couple of puzzles I could do, might dig those out.

I also have a Lego to do that was a Christmas gift (but I don’t like the finished picture which is a very traditional red rose. Lesson learned - be more specific re presents!)

I love this! I have lots of art design projects happening in different books using different media and I love it! I don’t worry as much about products as the process. It’s mindful and a way to escape doomscrolling!

I love reading but I also do a number of hobbies such as stitching, patchwork & quilting, cross stitch, card making & knitting. Stitching is the one I Iove to do the most. I just find it so relaxing.

Reading is my number one, but doing stuff with your hands is great isn't it :)

i love a good book, but lately they seem to be few and far between, i do love crochet and knitting but find it really hard to actually allow myself to pick them up during the day. I've been down the diamond dotz hole, i find them so soothing, but always put the finished product in the bin, so for now environmental me says no! i have some jigsaws waiting, but i do them on the floor (on the toy box lid) and it kills my back so haven't looked at them for at least a year. i journal every night but no other time. baking used to be my go to stress reliever love language but with no kids nearby to consume it i don't do that anymore. definitely my biggest hobby is mindless scrolling and watching other people do amazing hobbies eyeroll i really really love my morning walk and coffee shop coffee but i can only stretch that out to fill a couple of hours

These last few months have not been the best reading months for me & then I get frustrated & stop reading. I thought about using the toy box lid too, but I know my silly cats would destroy it.

I need to get a jigsaw puzzle out! Hobbies have taken a backseat lately. Apart from my new sourdough hobby. I like the pottering aspect of that. And reading.

Jigsaw puzzles, audiobooks and cooking are definitely my hobbies, and I also have kept a daily journal for the last 4 years or so. I went through a knitting and crochet phase but that has passed now that my friends are no longer having babies (I prefer to make small things). I am *fighting* the urge to buy some of those gorgeous are textas and a colouring book - suspect I’m just being instagram influenced rather than actually wanting to do it. Love ‘ambient TV’. We have the same thing at our house (Friends, Gilmore Girls, Parks and Rec, Brooklyn 99 etc) but call it ‘background noise’.

My daughter does colouring books sometimes, you can get them at Kmart or Big W for cheap, so maybe get just one & see if you like it. But I am like you & get very easily influenced.
